Overview

What is Thin Endometrium?

The endometrium (uterine lining) must reach an adequate thickness โ€” typically โ‰ฅ8 mm with a trilaminar pattern โ€” for an embryo to implant successfully. A persistently thin endometrium fails to provide the vascular and nutritional support required for implantation, resulting in IVF failures even with high-quality embryos.
