About the Scheme

The Government of Tamil Nadu has launched a free IVF scheme under the Chief Minister's Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme (CMCHIS) to provide assisted reproduction services to eligible couples.

Eligibility Criteria

Couple must be residents of Tamil Nadu
Annual family income below the specified threshold
Female partner: preferably under 45 years of age
Diagnosed infertility
Not previously completed a government-funded IVF cycle
CMCHIS enrolled household (Yellow/Green ration card holders)

What is Covered

Initial fertility investigations (AMH, semen analysis, HSG)
Ovarian stimulation medications
Egg retrieval procedure
Embryo culture and transfer

Documents Required

Ration card
Aadhaar card (both partners)
CMCHIS card or eligibility certificate
Income certificate from MRO/Tahsildar
Marriage certificate
Doctor's fertility diagnosis certificate
