Tamil Nadu IVF Government Scheme — Eligibility

About the Scheme

The Government of Tamil Nadu has launched a free IVF scheme under the Chief Minister's Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme (CMCHIS) to provide assisted reproduction services to eligible couples.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Couple must be residents of Tamil Nadu
  • Annual family income below the specified threshold
  • Female partner: preferably under 45 years of age
  • Diagnosed infertility
  • Not previously completed a government-funded IVF cycle
  • CMCHIS enrolled household (Yellow/Green ration card holders)

What is Covered

  • Initial fertility investigations (AMH, semen analysis, HSG)
  • Ovarian stimulation medications
  • Egg retrieval procedure
  • Embryo culture and transfer

Documents Required

  • Ration card
  • Aadhaar card (both partners)
  • CMCHIS card or eligibility certificate
  • Income certificate from MRO/Tahsildar
  • Marriage certificate
  • Doctor's fertility diagnosis certificate
