Genetic Screening Process Overview

Embryo Biopsy: A small number of cells are safely removed from the embryo’s outer layer (trophectoderm) for analysis.
Laboratory Testing: Advanced techniques such as a CGH, SNP microarray, or next-generation sequencing analyze DNA for chromosomal number and specific gene mutations.
Embryo Selection: Only embryos free of detected abnormalities are selected for uterine transfer. Remaining healthy embryos may be cryopreserved.
